Fabrication of DSSC photoanode based on TiO<sub>2</sub> produced by caustic fusion of local ilmenite

Abstract Photoanode is an essential part in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC). Semiconductor materials, such as TiO 2 , ZnO, and SnO are commonly used photoanode material. In this study, DSSC was fabricated using obtained from Bangka ilmenite concentrate by caustic fusion method followed water leaching, acid sol-gel reactions. The synthesized powder has anatase phase with a crystal size of 9.55 nm, band gap energy 3.0 eV, spherical morphology average particle 0.53 μm, specific area 138.39 m /g. found to have Fe impurities. work produced current-voltage characteristics photoconversion efficiency 0.75%.
